How long have these been up? I just noticed them. Sorry if I am late on this. O_o
Momoko looks like a child. Why can’t they make her look her age for once? Miyabi’s hair makes her face look longer than it actually is. And Yurina’s outfit = lol. I really like Saki and Risako’s pictures though.
Furare Pattern Full Song

Below is the full version of the Berryz Koubou song Furare Pattern, which is the b-side to their new single, Madayade.
Weird. O_o Although I really like it! Some parts of the songs are really weird and the robot-ish effect on the voices is a bit distracting, but this is a really catchy song and I think it may have even worked to be the a-side. But seriously - will we ever get a serious single from Berryz?

Madayade and Lotta Love Lotta Love PVs

The PVs for Berryz Koubou’s new single Madayade and for Buono!’s new single Lotta Love Lotta Love have been released.
Madayade PV actually looks like they spent some money on it! Lolz Berryz in an office. Although, the dance is really really weird and a bit embarrassing. Even more so than Monkey Dance. Lol at the random shot of Miyabi’s chest at 0:51. And Yurina sticks out too much. I love me some Yulina, but really. She is as tall as a skyscraper and she’s wearing bright yellow. WHY. It just looks bad. I do like the song though, which is good, because I have already ordered the single lol.
I don’t really like the Buono! PV…what happened? Their last four PVs were really good, and all this basically is a dance shot with a few close ups. All the girls look great, especially Miyabi, but it gets boring. There’s no cute little “story line” like the other Buono! PVs. The song is still awesome though.
Your thoughts?

Berryz Koubou is releasing a best album on January 14th. The name of it is currently unknown.

Above are the covers for Berryz Koubou’s new single. The one on top is the limited edition and the bottom one is the regular edition.
They are actually pretty nice. The regular one makes me lol. Risako looks like an absolute giant and putting Momoko between her and Yurina is just hilarious.
By the way, the song grew on me. :P I don’t like it that much, but I think that I will probably buy it in my next order.

A preview for Berryz Koubou’s new single Madayade has been released.
I don’t really know. The even line distribution is nice, but the song sounds so out of place. It’s almost winter, and it sounds really summer-ish. The chorus is also kinda annoying. So far, I’m not impressed, but it will probably grow on me when we get a better preview or something.
The single is being released on November 5th.
Dschinghis Khan Tartar Mix PV…Version 2?

Berryz Koubou’s Dschinghis Khan remix apparently has another PV out now. O_o
The video features a new dance for the song and other Berryz-ish clips. Sadly, there is less sheep, but there is just oh so much win no matter what they do with this song. Maasa is wearing a really weird cape. A CAPE. Awesome.

Apparently, a PV was made for the remix of Berryz Koubou’s 16th single Dschinghis Khan that was released a few days ago.
Epic win. There aren’t new shots of the girls or anything, but there are sheep. SHEEP! This is amazing. Not to mention, the song is amazingly awesome. So catchy, and I think the PV and the song is better than the original ones Berryz did (which were still awesome though).

Berryz Koubou’s new album has been leaked!
Here are my thoughts on the songs! For singles, I will only give rankings.
01. Happy! Stand Up
Rating - 10/10
Super catchy! It is a bit repetitive, but it works with this song. Super amazing. Saki, Maasa and Risako sound great! I can see this being a great concert and dance song song.
02. Kono Yubi Tomare! - Momoko, Chinami and Maasa
Rating - 9.5/10
Really nice song. I love Maasa’s vocals, she’s so great!! She has really improved. Momoko and Chinami also sound awesome, of course. The song sounds a bit weak at the beginning, but the chorus is amazing. So catchy! It has a very “cheery” vibe, if that’s the right word. Perfect to listen to if you’re feeling down.
03. Baka ni Shinai de - Saki, Miyabi, Yurina and Risako
Rating - 9.5/10
This song is seriously a rip off of Sayonara Hageshiki Koi from their last album, but I still love it! Its gives a really suspenseful vibe. The intro and the chorus are my favorite parts. Also, this is the best I have ever heard Yurina sing on a recorded song. She usually sounds a bit unstable, but I thought she did a great job here. I’ve really been starting to like her a lot more lately. The only bad thing is that Risako’s vocals were a bit shaky.
04. Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance
Rating - 9.5/10
05. Ah Merry-Go-Round - Saki and Momoko
Rating - 10/10
Whoa. This sounds nothing like a Berryz Koubou song or maybe even an Hello! Project song. It begins with a spoken part by Momoko and then gains an R&B rhythm and I think they are even singing harmonies, which is rare in H!P nowadays. I LOVE it!! Amazing! Also, these two girls are probably the most talented singers in Berryz, so this is just awesome! Saki sounded better than usual, if that’s even possible, and Momoko used her good voice. It’s my favorite song off the album.
06. Clap! - Chinami, Miyabi and Yurina
Rating - 8.5/10
I was really excited for this song, but it’s a bit of a letdown. Sounds a bit generic. Not bad, but nothing really stands out about it except that it has a lot of shouting parts. Yurina sounded a bit odd.
07. Real Love - Risako
Rating - 9.5/10
This sounds like it was originally a Goto Maki song. But holy crap, Risako! She actually sounds great! Seriously, even if you don’t like her at all, give this song a chance. She needs more songs like this! She is not shaky at all. She sounds a bit odd in the speaking part in the middle though, but it really doesn’t bring the quality down. The chorus is the best part of the song. I never thought I would give this such a high ranking. O_o
08. Yume wo Hitotsubu ~Berryz Kamen Ending Theme~
Rating - 10/10
Ah, this song is so short! Only a little bit longer than two and a half minutes. It has a really mysterious theme to it though, sounds like something that is originally good but then turned evil. Or something. I can’t explain it well. Also, Maasa is the only one to get solo lines! There aren’t that many, but still. She was the only member not to be in a second shuffle song, so this /almost/ makes up for it. A great song, and Maasa sounded really great! Someone of the forums said that this sounds like a “Hamasaki Ayumi interlude brought to life”, and I totally agree! It reminds me of Marionette. Behind Ah Merry-Go-Round for my favorite song on the album.

10. Tsukiatteru no ni Kataomoi

11. Be

This sounds like a really sappy but AMAZING ballad. It has a really heavenly vibe to it, I can see myself listening to it when I’m about to fall asleep. It’s extremely soothing. But there are really creepy parts in the song where it sounds like little kids are singing along with the girls. O_o Also, it’s really long, almost six minutes. It also sounds like it could be a Morning Musume song. Still love it nevertheless. It’s been awhile since Berryz has had a really great ballad.
12. Special Generation (Eccentric Remix)
Rating - 7/10
This was the first preview to come from the album, and at first, I HATED it. I don’t hate it now, but it’s defiantly my least favorite song on the album. They should have re-recorded the vocals, it sounds so odd. It just doesn’t fit on the album. I like the very end of the song though, where you can hear Risako’s “Special Generation Love” with no music, it sounds kinda awesome.

I had a really hard time choosing though, especially for rankings 3-7. The only songs that aren’t really spectacular are Clap! and the Special Generation remix. Even if you don’t listen to Berryz Koubou, please listen to this, you won’t regret it!!
2009 Calendar Covers

The covers for the 2009 calendars have surfaced.
I LOVE the Morning Musume one and it’s the one I will be getting. The Berryz one is also good, but they should have made the text less noticeable and not use such a bright color for the background. Why does Risako always get unflattering hairstyles. Also, once again Miyabi has been pushed all the way to the left. It’s kinda weird why she is not in the front anymore, you kinda get used to it. There are no words that can describe how HORRIBLE C-ute looks. What is up with the outfits? Nacchi kinda looks like a man, don’t really like the cover. I like Aya’s, simple but beautiful.
The calendars are being released on September 25th.
